"Hi, my name is Inch in a Pinch. The reason I am in a pinch is because my home is being destroyed! All the plants and animals of this world depend on people to make sure the world stays healthy, so we can all continue to live here for a long, long time. Come with me and I will show you all the places on our planet that are in trouble and what you need to do to help.
The single, biggest reason for the extinction, endangerment and threat to the animals and plants on this planet is

If we want to stop this senseless destruction, before it is too late, we MUST start right now!

Our planet is covered by a number of different ecosystems. Ecosystems are communities of plants, animals, and microbes interacting with each other and their environment. Each ecosystem contains plants and animals, as well as, geographical features that are unique. Dividing this planet's ecosystems into categories isn't easy. For our travels, I have divided them into the following four: Terrestrial,Freshwater, Marine, and Polar.

Within each ecosystem there are many different habitats. Come with me and together we will explore all of these wonderful environments! Below is a list of the things we will learn about each ecosystem.

globe A description of the ecosystem

globe The various habitats found within the ecosystem

globe The kinds of plants and animals found in each habitat

globe What habitat areas within the ecosystem are endangered

globe The reasons these habitats are endangered

globe What needs to be done to save these habitat areas
"Before we start our adventures, it might be a good idea to learn a little about ecosystems. The four ecosystems are listed below. So, come on already! Click on one and let's get started. We're running out of time!!"
